We went to this park because we heard it's a good place for dogs, with a dog beach and dog hiking trails. We were pretty disappointed to find a really small beach, filled with huge dogs that were not friendly toward our energetic puppy so we simply had to leave. There was no room for us to 'claim' a little piece to teach our dog how to swim. After that we decided to walk the trail, but it really wasn't long. In the end we just gave up and left. It's nice that there is a designated dog area, but I was a bit disappointed to find it that small.
HUGE group campsites. Nice staff. Little itty bitty swimming area, but still fun.
Great camping, decent sized sites, lake access. The beach was miserable and, in my opinion, unsanitary. Showers and restrooms are ok and functional but not exactly appealing. The playgrounds are very nice for the kids and I felt very safe letting my kids have a bit of freedom inside the campground.
Beautiful park, they have a really nice beach and swimming area. The trees here look awesome! Some of the most pleasant foliage of the state parks that we've been to.
Great park. Nice trails. Good group sites. Showers need updating. Disappointing that the beach was closed.
